I saw the measurements correctly but it's very small and everything arrived crushed. I adjusted it a bit but it still arrived in bad condition.

Convenient strainer, the mesh is fine and does not let tea leaves through. The lock holds firmly, and the chain is of sufficient length. Drinking tea is now a real pleasure!

Product arrived squashed (packaged with other things), but the steel mesh can be pushed back to its normal shape, so no big deal. The clip holding both halves together doesn't close properly as it is too tight, but it holds the halves together with no problem which is the most important thing.
Although 304 steel (which this product is made of), seems to be the industry standard for drinks containers, it seems that 18-8 or 316 surgical grade steel is safer for acidic drinks such as lemon tea to avoid the citrus acid in lemon causing chromium and nickel to leach.

This stainless steel filter ball is pretty decent. I do with the seller would have made sure that the product would not have gotten so squished in the mail. Overall, it is still a usable product and the clasp closes securely so i feel that this is still a functionally closing filter ball that i would use for adding spices to my crock pot meals.
