The capsules work well. In Italy, we have two types of coffee (mocha and espresso) that need to be mixed 70½ espresso and 30½ mocha, otherwise the coffee either becomes too watery or has difficulty coming out. The pressure to apply with the tamper is of a medium level. The capsule needs to be cleaned very well and dried immediately, and any residual powder must be removed so as not to interfere with the aroma of the coffee. My machine is a Krups Nespresso Essenza Mini.

Honestly, they do their job. You need to press the coffee grounds a lot and use a blend for espresso machines. You need to be careful to position the capsule well in the slot, otherwise it falls into the tray but it's still usable (I have a Nespresso De'Longhi).
