The product arrived as purchased!!! One caveat, I don't know if it's like this or if a product was poorly made. . . I think the manufacturer forgot to put some screws/clips to keep the softener device intact without disassembling it. I will need to put something to secure the two parts of the device closed so it doesn't come apart. To facilitate maintenance of the product, the manufacturers left the device loose; there are no clips or screws to keep the cable parts attached (joined). All 3 devices I bought came loose when I took the product out of the packaging. Now I need to test the product to see if it really tenderizes the meat!!! At home I used a fork... I hope this device will speed up the process of softening the second layer of meat...

Received very fast. Bad workmanship, the product fell apart upon opening the package, however it was not broken only the outer plastic black shell disintegrated into 2 parts and all internal parts fell off. I managed to fix it and glue together with superglue, works ok for now. Yet to be seen how long it will last or fall apart again. I considered returning it but because it was an easy fix decided to do it myself and keep the product.

Not tested yet with real meat. It looks ok for thin or medium thickness cuts, not for very thick. I saw similar products with longer needles that can fit thicker cuts and also easy cleaning with removable parts lacking in this simple product (saw in amazon not ali express, much higher price though).
